Hello! I’m Betsy and I have always been one of the ‘creative kids’. I grew up taking ballet classes and I was constantly drawing ballerinas, obsessing over details until I felt I had mastered their form. I learned how to paint in high school which added even more dimension to my craft.
Not surprisingly, I majored in art in college and, afterward, I made the leap to move to New York City to go to Parsons School of Design. There I learned digital imaging and the foundations of graphic design. My career has been focused in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands. I’ve done e-commerce. I’ve done advertising. I’ve done manic retouching marathons, turning out lookbooks for major designers during New York Fashion week. My experience is vast.
I have a keen sense of color, an innate sense of balance in a composition, and I don’t like to be too heavy handed with tools in Photoshop. There’s a delicate balance between enhancing natural beauty and maintaining authenticity. I find that less is oftentimes more.
